JOIN US IN CELEBRATING THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE 116TH STREET FESTIVAL ON SATURDAY, JUNE 7, 2025.
The event takes place in Manhattan on 3rd Avenue between East 106th Street and East 122nd Street. Including East 116th Street from 2nd Avenue to Lexington Avenue.
The founders of the annual 116th Street Festival, Abrazo del Barrio, David Acosta, Bob Acosta, and Nick Lugo, initiated this event to commemorate the Puerto Rican heritage in East Harlem (El Barrio). Also, as a prelude to the National Puerto Rican Day Parade. Since then, it has expanded and grown tremendously. This 20-block festival is made up of corporate sponsors, nonprofit organizations, merchants, and food vendors. There are a lot of street blocks with exclusive sponsors who provide immersive and interactive experiences that allow attendees to engage with the sponsor’s brand activities within the block.
